Synopsis:

The course introduces general basics of aircraft system diagnostics. The scope of lectures covers categories of aircraft produced or commercially pursued in the Czech Republic. Part of the course includes data acquisition of diagnostic systems.

2. Methods and instruments for normal-operation and wrecking diagnostics

3. Requirements on the aviation diagnostic systems

4. Software for aviation diagnostic systems

5. Analog recording devices used in aviation

6. Digital recording devices used in aviation

7. Airframe stationary and non-stationary parts diagnostics

8. Engine diagnostics

9. Power supply and electrical network diagnostics

10. Avionic instruments and systems diagnostics

11. Aircondition and hydraulic systems diagnostics

12. Flight management systems diagnostics

13. Methods for evaluation of diagnostic signals

14. Airplane competence and testing methods

1. Detection of failures methods

2. Signal selection for function ability and in-fault localization

3. Board computer diagnostics on base of build-in tests in instruments and systems

4. Registered data processing after the flight

5. Pneumatic systems diagnostics

6. Gyroscopic and inertial instruments diagnostics

7. Engine diagnostics: boroskopic method, turbine blades and bearing diagnostics

8. Engine diagnostics: vibration checks, oil system diagnostics

9. Fuel system diagnostics, fuel consumption test

10. Airframe diagnostics: fatigue of structure, undercarriage - pressure and temperature in tires and dampers

11. Electrical supply and network diagnostics

12. Hydraulic systems diagnostics

13. Aircondition and defrosting system diagnostics

14. Airplane competence and testing method
