Electrical and electronic measuring instruments, digital instruments, methods of measurement of electrical quantities (voltage, current, power, frequency, resistance, capacitance and inductance), basic magnetic measurements, basics of measurement systems.

1. Accuracy of measurement. Analogue meters. PMMC meter.
2. Iron vane and electrodynamic meters. Measuring amplifiers with OA. Converters of average value.
3. DC and AC current and voltage measurement - methods and instrumentation, thermocouples application.
4. Measurement of frequency and phase shift, measurement of rotation speed.
5. DACs and ADCs. Digital multimeters.
6. RMS converters. Measurement of sum and difference. Analogue multipliers. Instrument transformers.
7. Measurement of power and energy (1- and 3-phase circuits).
8. Measurement of resistance - methods, instruments, converters. Resistance thermometers and strain gauges.
9. Measurement of impedance and admittance (L-R, C-G). Capacitive and inductive sensors.
10. Measurement of B, H, and magnetising characteristics.
11. Analogue and digitising oscilloscopes and recorders. Logic analysers.
12. Sampling methods of measurement. Instruments controlled by microcontrollers.
13. Data acquisition systems. Optoelectronic sensors.
14. Spectrum analysers. Generators of measuring signals.
