Synopsis:

Analog integrated circuits design methods. Analog ICs modeling and simulations. Operational amplifiers and comparators design. Design of integrated active filters. Digital-Analog, Analog-Digital converters. Chip architecture, principles of place and route techniques. Current and voltage sources. High power devices on chip.

Requirements:
Syllabus of lectures:

1. Analog ICs design and signal processing. Feedback theory.

2. Noise sources. Thermal, shot and 1 / f noises. Noise models.

3. Layout design, signal interference, parasitic effects in ICs.

4. Operational amplifiers design. Analysis of OA circuits. Inverting and noninverting configurations.

5. OA characteristics - Gain bandwidth and compensation, slew rate, DC offsets and DC bias currents, noise.

6. High speed, low noise, differential output Op Amps.

7. Characterization and design of Comparators.

8. Fundamentals of active filters, frequency response specifications. Dynamic range and noise.

9. Design of integrated active filters. Design of integrated filters components. Parasitic.

10. Active filters types. Tuning filters.

11. Digital-Analog Converters.

12. Analog-Digital Converters.

13. Current and voltage sources. High power devices on chip.

14. Chip architecture, principles of place and route techniques, post-layout simulation.
