Department of Circuit Theory
Synopsis:

A survey of passive- and active-filter design and implementation is given by this subject. The practical design requirements, conditions and problems are emphasized. The first part deals with the optimum-design of passive-LC filters. A particular part is devoted to the piezoceramic, crystal and SAW filters and their optimum application. The second part is oriented to the optimum design of active filters - the second-order and higher-order. Design and technological constraints are discussed. An attention is devoted to the new ways of ARC filter design - current-mode filters, filters based on prospective active devices (CC, OTA, TIA), integrated filters and sampled-data filters (SC, SI). Practical design examples are solved.
