The course aims to give a system view of IT support for computer integrated manufacturing. The security in computer systems, encryption and digital signature techniques are stressed due to data and information security. Focus on infrastructure support for CIM systems, net design, protocols and computer network security for industrial applications.

2. Computer Integrated Manufacturing, company structure, information flows in the manufacturing company
3. CIM components: CAD, CAP, CAM, CAQ, CAA
4. Significance of security in computer systems for CIM, data integrity, authenticity and confidenciality
5. Symetric encryption algorithms, message authentication, hash algorithms
6. Public key cryptography, digital signature for data and information security
7. Authentication, Kerberos, OTP
8. Principles of IP networks, fundamental protocols (TCP,UDP,ICMP,...)
9. Basic services - DNS, telnet, ftp, ssh, smtp, pop3
10. IP networks and security, clasification and common types of intrusion
11. Network security I. - filters, proxy, gateway, wrapper
12. Network security II. - private networks, VPN
13. Network security III. - firewall, intrusion detection, network architecture
