Supervisor:
Department of Telecommunications Engineering
Synopsis:

The course utilize knowledge offered in the course X32THO which are applied to dimensioning of service systems of different types, especially the type M/M/N/R,..,X/M/N/0,... and networks. Special attention is devoted to dimensioning of networks with traffic oveflow and in this connection to the process of optimization of structure of network. At the end of the course a special attention is devoted to the traffic simulation of service systems and networks.evaluation of a quality of service - QOS.

For easier understanding of the course it is necessary to pass examination on XD32THO - Queuing Theory course.

Requirements:

For awarding of assessment student must fulfilled following requirements:

1) Students must to go through all of given practical exercises.

Students have to pass and defend successfully project.

Syllabus of lectures:

The necessary assumption for study in the course is to pass through the 32THO course.

1. Introduction.Telecommunications network (TN), QoS and GoS network performance.
