Synopsis:

The subject is based on the theory and application of business management from the point of view of development trends, current and prospective methods of company management, including globalisation conditions. It deals with the definition of business, its targets and functions, its life stages, core-business and its management. It also deals with individual managerial roles, their content and used methods. Attention is also placed on the team project management and the manager's own time control

1. Company and business, locality of the company, targets and function of the business, life cycle of the company.

2. Legal forms of businesses, criteria for a decision on the legal form selection

3. Assets and capital structure of the company. An optimum capital structure

4. Cost classification, cost calculation methods, cost curves

5. Relations between profit, production volume, price and costs

6. Basis of company management, managerials roles, management development in the 20th century

7. Planning as a managerial role, plan division, procedure at plan composition. Strategic management

8. Organising process features, organisational forms, organisational project making

9. Human resources management. Motivation, stimulation, comunication

10. Work team management. Manager´s own time control

11. Inventions and innovations, change management, company prosperity

12. Influence of globalisation and other mega trends on economy and management.

13. Information systems in managerial practise
