Synopsis:

The course contains basic knowledge essential to design of control blocks for power electronic equipments, semiconductor converters and electric drives with emphasis on microprocessor engineering. Signal types and circuits for their adjustment and processing, applicable technical means based on analog, digital and microprocessor technique, sensors and actuators and system implementation rules are presented.

1. Basic concepts, structure of drive control circuits

2. Signals and its processing in the electric drive technique

3. Basic analog controller circuitry, application, parameter tuning

4. Interface circuits, galvanic isolation, pulse generation

5. Boolean functions and circuitry, logic kits, design methods

6. Sensors and actuators in the electric drive technique

7. Basic terminology, drive controller structure, microprocessor technique

8. Software development of microcomputer controllers

9. MPLAB IDE development environment, simulator and emulator, compiler C18

10.RISC microcontroller pic18Fxxxx, system structure

11.Interrupt system, special unit for pulse signal measurement and generation

12.Basic control algorithm block examples I

13.Basic control algorithm block examples II

14.Cabling of automatic control systems, interference and protection
