The course is oriented to the practical application of knowledge in mathematics, electrotechnics, measurements and computer technologies by experiments on electric devices in research and development. Data acquisition and data evaluation by means of computers, application of selected mathematic methods on real cases.
- Requirements:

To obtain a credit at least 70% presence in the laboratory in eesential plus elaboration of one technical experiment report . The exam will have both written and oral parts.
- Syllabus of lectures:

1. Basic quantities measured on electric devices
2. Measured data flow - requirements, types and properties of sensors and signal conditioners
3. Measurement of characteristics in steaty state operation - inputs, outputs, methods of evaluation
4. Hardware and software for steady state data evaluation
5. Methods and conditions for extrapolation and interpolation on captured curves
6. Errors elimination, polynomial interpolation, least square method
7. Derived characteristics - relation between curves, physical relations
8. Data capturing in transient processes - speed, record length, inputs, outputs, methods of evaluation
9. Hardware and software for transient data evaluation
10. Use of digital oscilloscopes and transient recorders in connection with computers
11. Finding representative information in transient data record
12. Fourier Analysis
13. Integration and derivation of recorded transient data
14. Test reports and protocols, data archiving and possibility to digitize graphs

2. Behavior of measuring assembly
3. Errors by measurements of voltage, current, power, speed, torque and temperature
4. Automated measuring system - control
5. Automated measuring system - data acquisition
6. Automated measuring system - programming
7. Automated measuring system - tabular and graphic outputs
8. Measurement in steady state operatin of the device under test
9. Interpolation of data measured in steady state
10. Transient process capturing - data transfer into computer
11. Finding time constants, maximum and minimum values, zero crossing instants
12. Fourier Analysis of captured data records
13. Integration and derivation of recorded transient data
