Synopsis:

Subject is introduction to computer aided real-time measuring and control. Subject especially describe hardware area (HW) of computing technics used as aid for real-time measure and control. e.g structure, function and characteristics of computer systems, their modifications, control process instrumentation, peculiarity of real-time computer systems and professional computer control means for control of technological plants. Syllabus of lectures:

1.Architecture of computers, structure, organization and subsystems. Transfer of informations.

2.Operating and memory subsytem. CPU, architecture modification (RISC, CISC), int/ext memory.

3.I/O computer subsystem, I/O control, peripheral devices.

4.Computer system, technical and organization means. Interrupt system, real-time systems.

5.Processor networks, parallel systems, conection networks. Topology, communication.

6.Computer networks, nets topology, communication. LAN, MAN, WAN nets, control computer nets.

7.Multilevel computer organization, virtual computer. Conventional and microprogram machine level.

8.Operating system machine level. Virtual instructions, virtual memory. OS managements.

9.Microprocessor means, platforms. Actual survey, evolution trends.

10.Microprocessor means INTEL, systems I x86, Pentium, . Characteristics, application.

11.Microprocessor means MOTOROLA, systems M68xxx, . Characteristics, application.

12.Microprocessors for embedded applications ARM, 683xx, ColdFire, .

13.Standard system and I/O computer buses (ISA, PCI, SCSI, VME,.)

14.Process instrumentation, analog and discrete I/O.
