Course objective: Broadening the basic knowledge of general English and cope with basic specialised language, text working, extension of lexical use, understanding the spoken English.

Listening: Gist of the text, the dialogues, practical situations, finding the main information in the text.
Reading: Technical texts, popular educational texts, newspaper articles and advertisements, letters.
Speaking: Giving instructions, making requests, complains and apologies, city direction and asking the way, traveling, gastronomy, future plans.
Writing: Mathematical expressions, a recipe, informal and formal letters.
Grammar: Past tense, used to, present perfect, direct and indirect questions, imperative mood, comparative and superlative forms of adjectives and adverbs, modal verbs, countable and uncountable nouns, gerunds, infinitive, phrasal verbs and expressing future, time clauses.
