The course follows up with the 04J2F1 course and is suitable for students who have a good knowledge of the material in that language covered in secondary school. Course objective: An ability to understand and converse in everyday situations for students and electrical engineers and an ability to deal with specialised texts.

Course objectives: Developing competence in basic French and an ability to communicate in simple everyday situations. Emphasis is placed on communication and pronunciation. Reading and understanding straightforward texts and basic writing skills. Topics and situations: Telephone conversations, employment, describing objects.
Grammar: The most common regular and irregular verbs, basic word order, pronouns and their position in the sentence, the most common prepositions, basic phrases using infinitives. Perfect tense.
