Synopsis:

Lectures give comprehensive information on DSP computers design in power electronics, using mainly stock available units and blocks (hw and sw). Included is overwiev of DSP parameters targeted to power electronics converter control (electric traction vehicles, stationary application, automotive and other applications). Explained are DSP system solution for high speed calculations, special hw blocks for control, development, debugging and maintenance software tools, real time sw design principles and multiprocessor systém connection (industrial computer networks). Several typical application examples of power electronics with DSP will be stated (traction, space, automotive).

2. DSP core architecture, typical parameters

3. Fixed and floating point computations, DSP high speed calculation support

4. DSP special hw blocks for power electronics control applications

5. DSP software development tools

6. DSP programming languages

7. DSP software debugging and maintenance tools

8. Multiprocessor systems, industrial computer networks architecture

9. DSP families of Texas Instruments, Intel, Motorola, Analog Devices and other important manufacturers

10.Choise of hw and sw for power electronics applications

11.DSP software design part 1., analog values measurement, regulators, pulse generators, communication

12.DSP software design part 2., tasks scheduling and dispatching

13.Selected examples of using DSP in electrical traction and other applications

14.Selected examples of using DSP in automotive applications
