Terminology and definitions from the area of quality and reliability and their control, philosophy of quality, systems of quality control in the world. Series of standards ISO 9000-2000, philosophy, certification. Basic statistical methods and tools joined with control of quality and reliability of a process. Ability of a process, backuping of a process. Definition and the use of a loss function. Special types of control charts. Audits. Statistical inspection.
- Requirements:

A student has to obtain a credit before an examination. It is obligatory to attend the traning. A student has to write and present a short semestral thesis. A test will be written in 7th week. The result of the test and evaluation of the semestral thesis are involved in final evaluation of a student. Exam: lectures completed with selected chapters from literature.

1.Basic species and definitions from the area of quality control and reliability. Systems TQM (USA), poka-yoke, kaizen (Japan).
2.ISO 900-2000, philosophy, life cycle fo products and equipment
3.Directory of quality. Types of failures, reliability data
4.Task of the management in the system ISO 9000-2000, matrix of responsibility. QFD and House of quality
5.Process of certification according to the ISO 9000-2000, costs joined with realization of a quality system
6.Statistical methods used SPC. Arrangement is series and in parallel - composition and decomposition.
7.Method of a list. Data smootning, theory of tolerances
8.Continuous random variable and its characteristics and distributions.
9.Discrete random variable and its characteristics and distributions. Range and frequency of sampling
10.Characteristics of process capability. Backuped systems. Active and passive backup.
11.Loss function. Normality testing. Exploratore analysis. Accelerated stretch and life tests
12.Other statistical tools of quality control - Cusum, EWMA, FMEA. Arrhenius and Eyring models
13.Audits: goals, types, phases, methods, tools. Investment in quality, quality plans. Evaluatio of supporters.
14.Statistical inspection: types, realization, application.
