Synopsis:

Fundamentals of antennas, electromagnetic wave propagation and diffraction. Microwave point-to-point link. Mobile terrestrial and satellite communications. Propagation prediction and coverage planning for megacells, macrocells, microcells and picocells. Cellular networks and frequency planning. Antennas for base stations. Mobile antennas. Antenna and coverage measurements. Modern wireless systems and electromagnetic compatibility. Millimetre and optical communication systems.

Requirements:

Basic knowledge of electromagnetic field theory.

9. Optical models, theory of diffraction

11. Frequency planning in GSM network

12. Millimetre and optical links, point-to-multipoint systems

14. Modern wireless systems and EMC
