Synopsis:

Introduction to data transmission. Basic terminology and quantities, modulation methods for data signals, methods of data signals transmission in baseband and over analog and digital circuits. Data interfaces, problems of data signals reception, alphabets for data transmission, methods of securing, safety codes. Control of data communication and basic principles of data multiplexing systems, multiplexers with frequency and time multiplexing.

1. Basic terms, data transmission systems, data link. Alphabets, codes, data signal

2. Means of data signal transmission. Transmission sped and modulation speed

3. Individual distortion. Isochronous distortion. Arrhythmic signal, arrhythmic distortion

4. Telecommunication networks for data transmission. Transmission of data over analog and digital circuits

5. DTE and DCE interfaces

6. Problems of reception. Detection of received signal

7. Methods of baseband data transmission. Link codes

8. Analysis of baseband data transmission. Correction of data signal

9. Methods of data transmission protection

10. Convolution codes. Detection. Virtebi's algorithm

11. Basic modulation methods

12. Multiple state modulations

13. Control of data communication

14. Principles of data multiplexing devices
