Synopsis:

Students will obtain the knowledge in fundamental principles of the digital transmission systems and signal processing in transmission networks. The main subjects are SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) networks, optical WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplex) based layer, optical hierarchy (OTH), protection switching methods, synchronization and management in transmission networks.

Requirements:

Labs measurement protocols, homework, test.
