The syllabus consists of conceptions, structures and properties of medical imaging systems (transmisive and reflective as well, active and pasive as well). There are included X-Ray, X-Ray TV, digital subtraction angiography (DSA), tomographic systems CT, Micro CT, conventional imaging systems of nuclear medicine and tomographic systems SPECT and PET as well. Thermovision.

2. Mathematical preliminaries and image theory related to medical imaging systems
3. Classification and parameters of X-ray systems. Origin of X-Rays. X-ray tubes properties

5. X-ray TV systems. Processing and analysis of X-ray image. Angiography, digital angiography, DSA
6. Classification of tomographic methods. Physical fundamentals of tomographic systems
7. Mathematical preliminaries of computer tomography
8. Radon transform. Mathematical preliminaries of reconstruction methods
9. Mathematical preliminaries of the next reconstruction methods, comparison
10. X-ray tomography, detectors, signal processing, properties and processing of CT image
11. Micro CT systems
12. Infrared (IR) medical imaging systems - physical fundamentals,
13. Nuclear medicine imaging (NMI) systems - physical fundamentals, detectors
14. NMI systems - Gama camera structure and parameters, tomographic systems SPECT and PET
- Syllabus of tutorials:

1. Mathematical preliminaries for computation of medical imaging system parameters including 2D FT
2. PC laboratory - complex task including problem of MTF and the resulting spatial resolution of system computation
3. Computations within the X-ray imaging system (X-Rays, load of X-Ray generator)
4. Educational videotapes concerning with the X-Rays and W. C. Roentgen
5. Educational visit to Clinic of Radiology in Prague
6. Computations within the IR spectra
7. Educational visit to Clinic of Nuclear Medicine in Prague
