Fundamentals of millimetre and submillimetre technology for communication systems, relation of submillimetre and optical technology. Special problems of millimetre and submm wave propagation, basic theoretical principles of quasi-optics and millimetre wave technology. Theory, design and construction of components for mm and submm band - transmission lines, switches, modulators, detectors, generators, resonators, antennas. Basis of mm and submm wave technique. Frequency selective surfaces and special media for mm waves, mm and submm wave systems.
