Synopsis:

The subject covers problems of sophisticated measurement methods and instrument applied in frequency band 100 MHz - 100 GHz. Generators, frequency counter, spectrum analyzer. Noise measurement, power measurement. Scalar and vector analyzers. Measurement errors and computer correction methods.

4. Scalar network analyzers.

5. Power meters.

6. Noise figure measurement.

7. Microwave frequency counter.

8. Measurement of S-paramaters, Sources of measurement errors.

9. Vector network analyzers with frequency conversion.

10. Computer controlled measurement system with HP 8410.

11. Six-port vector network analyzers.

12. Sources of errors in wideband microwave measurement.

13. Basic correction methods.

14. Correction methods for error model with crosstalks.

3. Mixers, intermodulation parameters of amplifiers.

4. Scalar network analyzer HP 8757E.

5. Measurement of power compression of amplifiers.

6. Measurement of switches, analog and digital attenuators.

7. Microwave power meter. Power stability of generators.

8. Microwave generators HP 8620C, HP 8350B.

9. Microwave frequency counter TR 5212.

10. Vector network analyzer HP 8410. Measurement of Q factor.

11. Controlling system HP 8410-PC.

12. Measurement of corrected reflection coefficient in real time.

13. Measurement of scattering parameters of microwave transistors.

14. Inspection of records. Credit
