The course is devoted to a detailed system and theoretical analysis of TV systems and includes a description of procedures required for the image-to-signal conversion. Further the TV signal processing analysis is mentioned with respect to the losses of image information in presence of noise. This is a preparatory course for MSc. students interested in TV production and videotechnology.

6. Source codek analysis (NTSC, PAL) - diff. gain and phase, crosscolor, crosslum.
7. Methods of digital source coding
8. Digital standards I - detailed analysis of MPEG-1, MPEG-2
9. Digital standards II - detailed analysis of MPEG-4, MPEG-7
10. Stereoscopic TV, digital movie production, advanced systems
11. Meas. in TV - S/N ratio, res. spatial and levels, prod. meas. meth., obj. colorim.
