The course is suitable for intermediate students who have an equivalent command of the language as someone who has completed book one of a language school text book. Course objective: To make it easier for foreign students to familiarise themselves with their surroundings and help them overcome the linguistic difficulties encountered during lectures and when reading technical literature, to be able to cope with everyday situations, both spoken and written Czech.

Course objective: To make it easier for foreign students to familiarise themselves with their surroundings and help them overcome the linguistic difficulties encountered during lectures and when reading technical literature, to be able to cope with everyday situations, both spoken and written Czech. Topics and situations: Faculty of Electronical Engineering, the halls of residence, asking your way, job applications and Curriculum Vitae, seasons.
Technical texts and terminology: Basic understanding of sub-technical texts and straightforward technical texts. Grammar: Declension and conjugation, comparatives and superlatives, the meaning of verbal prefixes.
