The subject deals with basic problems of power system control. First student obtains brief overview of problems of power system evolution, open market and international cooperation. More detailed attention is paid to technical problems of power system control, objective functions of system control and methods of optimization, optimal power flow, unit commitment and load forecasting. Subject finishes by solution of extraordinary states and dispatch, system and subsidiary services overview.
