Synopsis:

Quality management in electrical industry, international standardization ISO, IEC,EN. Lifetime, ageing, relibiality of electric machines and aparatus. Main prototype and standard tests. Basic non-destructive and destructive diagnostic methods and equipments for diagnostics. State of insulation, mechanical and cooling system. State of electric machine in exploatation - monitoring. Main electric rotating and non-rotating machine destruction reasons.

2. Lifetime, ageing, relibiality of electric machines and aparatus

3. Basic test methods, prototypes and standard tests

4. Main destructive and non-destructive diagnostic methods

5. Equipment and apparatus for electric machine diagnostics

6. Non-rotating electrical machine insulation state diagnostics , voltage tests

7. Rotating electric machine insulation state diagnostics, partial dicharges, ultrasound

8. Rotating machine mechanical state diagnostics

9. Methods of electric machine diagnostics

10. Electromagnetical compability, disturbace

11. Diagnostics of electric machines in exploatation, monitoring

12. Cooling system diagnostics, thermal ageing

13. Main failures of rotating electric machines, analysis of reasons

14. Main non-rotating machine failure types, analysis of reasons

Syllabus of tutorials:

1. Laboratory equipment, insulation resistance, dissipation factor mesurement

2. Induction machines, noise, vibration mesurement, critical speed, bearing state

3. Induction machines, losses characteristics, insulation state, partial discharges

4. DC machines, commtation investigation, winding resistance, winding temperature rise

5. Synchronous machines, insulation resistances, dissipation factor, ionisation current

6. Transformers, temperature rise test, surface temperature measurement

7. Transformers, high voltage tests, winding capacities

8. Chokes, acustical emisivity, ultrasound defectoscopy

9. Pulse controlled sources, harmonic current analysis, power analysis

10. Induction motor with frequency converter feeding, Fourrier transformation, vibrations

11. Transformer short circuit, winding mechanical oscillation

12. Low voltage contact apparatus, failure effects, lifetime

13. Non-rotating machines, failure effects, leakage flux

14. Rotating machines, failure effects, assessment
