Synopsis:

Subject is introduction to computer aided real-time measuring and control. Subject especially describe hardware area (HW) of computing techniques used as aid for real-time measure and control. e.g. structure, function and characteristics of computer systems, their modifications, control process instrumentation, peculiarity of real-time computer systems and professional computer control means for control of technological plants.

Requirements:

1. Computer as control mean. Multilevel computer organization, virtual computer

2. Conventional machine level. Computer structure and organization, transfer of information

3. CPU and memory subsystems. Computer architecture modification - SIMD, MIMD etc.

4. I/O computer subsystem, peripheral devices, standard I/O bus

5. Interrupt system, structure, application. Real-time systems

6. Microprogram machine level. Microprogramming

7. Operating system machine level, multilevel machines

8. Computer system, technical and organization means

9. Processor and computer networks. Nets topology, characteristics, application

10. Microprocessors. Family iAPX x86, structure, characteristics

11. Microprocessors. Family M68xxx, structure, characteristics

12. Microprocessors for embedded applications

13. Process instrumentation, data acquisition and processing systems

14. Professional means of computer control
