Synopsis:

This course provides basic overview of the LF airborne instruments and systems: sensors and signal transmission, power supply systems, engine control and monitoring systems and navigation systems.

Requirements:

1. Airborne instruments, basic overview. Cockpit equipment

2. Special airborne convertors of physical values

3. Power supply sources and distribution of electrical power

4. Electrical transmition and buses in aircraft (ARINC, MIL)

5. Measurement of revolutions, exhaust gas temp., instant. and total fuel consumption and torque

6. Measurement of oil and fuel presure, oil temp. and quantity and vibrations

7. Fuel system and measurement of fuel quantity

8. Altimeter, speedometer, machmeter, variometer

9. Air data computer, signal processing, sensors

10. Gyro-horizont, rate-of-turn indicator, accelerometers

11. Gyro-magnetic compass. Earth field sensor

12. Laser gyroscopes

13. Inertial navigation systems and sensors

14. Inertial strap-down systems. Central navigation systems

3. Check of the fuel consumption indicator

4. Function test of the step motor

5. Measurement of the capacitance fuel level sensor parameters

6. Measurement of the solid-state power supply parameters

7. Fuel consumption indicator check

8. Revolutions indicator measurement

9. Altimeter indicator calibration

10. Measurement of the parameters of the inertial system accelerometer

11. Measurement of precessional drift of the gyroscope

12. Measurement of the parameters of the gyroscope rate-of-turn indicator
