Synopsis:

After a brief introduction devoted to legal metrology, metrological directives and tests of measuring instruments, explanation is focussed on methods and devices for precision measurements of electrical quantities. Possibilities of application of NMR, Josephson arrays and quantum Hall effect devices to precision measurements of current, voltage and resistance are discussed.

8. Precision measurement of voltage in audiofrequency range

9. Precision measurement of power and energy

10. Methods for precision DC measurements of electrical resistance

11. Bridges with inductively coupled ratio arms for AC measurements of electrical resistance

12. Transformer and current-comparator-based capacitance bridges

13. Bridge methods for measuring self- and mutual inductance

14. Metrological employment of Thompson-Lampard theorem and quantum Hall effect
