After a brief introduction devoted to legal metrology, metrological directives and tests of measuring instruments, explanation is focussed on methods and devices for precision measurements of electrical quantities. Possibilities of application of NMR, Josephson arrays and quantum Hall effect devices to precision measurements of current, voltage and resistance are discussed.
