- Synopsis:
-
Communication interfaces of centralized as well as distributed measurement, control and data acquisition systems are introduced. They are described from the designer's and system integrator's point of view. Successfully graduated students will understand common laboratory and industrial communication. They will be able to integrate systems (both the hardware and software) and design and develop their parts (intelligent sensors, plug-in boards).
- Requirements:
- Syllabus of lectures:
-
1. Controller - processor interface. Definitions in „C“ language
2. IEEE 488.2 controller, hardware implementation
3. Measurement Bus, implementation
4. CAN, CAL and CANopen, their implementation
5. Instrument block structure according to dataflow (SCPI spec.)
6. Program block structure of the instrument (IEEE 488.2)
7. SCPI spec. language decoding
8. VME and VXI devices, hardware implementation
9. VME and VXI devices, software implementation
10. ISA bus plug-in card implementation
