Position radio determination methods. Applications for land, air and space navigation. Emphasis is laid on satellite methods. Student will study principles and applications especially for air navigation. He can exploit obtained knowledge in radio and aircraft industry, civil and military aircraft operations, air traffic control, geodesy and cartography.

4. Main parts of transmitters and receivers; modulations and modulators
5. Navigation problem and its solving. Automatic direction finder
6. Omnidirectional beacon VOR, VOR receiver, TACAN
7. Instrument landing systems ILS and MLS, beacons and airborne receivers
8. Radio altimeter, distance measurement equipment DME
9. Hyperbolic systems, LORAN - C
10. Satellite navigation, principles. GPS-NAVSTAR, GLONASS
11. GNSS1 and GNSS2 systems, EGNOS, EUTELTRACS, OMNITRACS
12. Differential satellite methods
13. Radar
14. Doppler navigator and its integration with other sensors
