Synopsis:

This course includes design and technology of construction of reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete bridges.

Structural systems - slab, beam, frame, arch, cable-stayed and suspension bridges. Cast-in situ and incrementally launched structures, structures bulit by free cantilever method (both cast-in-situ and precast). Preliminary design of a prestressed concrete bridge structure.
