Synopsis:

The subject is optional and is destined for students of master stage in specialization Electronics. This course can register students of another specialization they have the knowledge in digital signal processing. The subject ICZ relates to obligatory subject 31CZS from the 8-th semester and it has free relationship to facultative subjects 31UCZ a 31PSP from the 7-th and 8-th semester. Exercises are project oriented and students can solve problems connected with their diploma thesis.

1. Algorithms of DSP and their implementations

2. Architecture of fixed-point signal processors (DSP) TMS

3. Architecture of floating-point signal processors TMS

4. Memory organization and addressing modes

5. Instruction set of fixed-point DSP, programming in assembler

6. Instruction set of floating-point DSP

7. Finite word-length effects by fixed-point implementation

8. Quantization errors in digital filters IIR implementation

9. Quantization effects in digital filters FIR implementation

10. FFT algorithm implementation

11. Quantization errors in FFT algorithms implementation, appropriate algorithms

12. Design and implementation of special DSP algorithms, notch filters, wave filters

13. Design and implementation of special DSP algorithms, signal compression, DTMF detection etc.

14. Design principles of hardware system on SP

1. Introduction to evaluation tools of TMS signal processors (DSP)

2. Assembler, simulator, linker for fixed-point and floating-point DSP. Memory addressing tasks

3. Instruction set of SP, simple DSP tasks. Individual projects registration
