Synopsis:

The subject covers basic problems of microwave circuits applied in monolithic chips. Planar lines. S-parameters, noise parameters, impedance matching. Lumped elements. Transistors FET, HEMPT. Schottky and PIN diodes. Amplifiers, oscillators, mixers, phase shifters, switches, attenuators. On chip measurements.

3. S-parameters, noise parameters, impedance matching

4. Microstrip line, CPW line, coupled line

5. Planar discontinuities

6. Planar lumped elements

7. Microwave transistors, FET, HEMTP, Schottky and PIN diodes

8. Microwave amplifiers, stability, matching

9. Low noise and power amplifiers

10. Distributed and balanced amplifiers

11. Mixers, phase shifters, switches, attenuators

12. Microwave transistor oscillators

13. Basic on microwave measurement, vector and scalar network analyzers

14. On chip measurement, correction methods
