Synopsis:

System aspects of radio transmission, frequency spectrum of electromagnetic wave. Power budget, transmitter and receiver antennas. Basic definitions and parameters. Electromagnetic wave propagation, reflection and diffraction. Basic antenna theory, radiation pattern and impedance characteristic, antenna measurement. Analyses of wire antennas, antennas array, Yagi Uda antenna, horn antennas. Other antenna types overview.
