Traction resistance. Adhesion. Power for Traction. Traction motors used on locomotives and tram-cars. Tram-cars with resistance and chopper control. Converters for tramcars. Trolley-buses. Underground lines. Prague Metro. Electric Locomotives. Converters for Locomotives. DC, AC and Double System Locomotives. Locomotives with Induction motors. Examples of Trolley Locomotives Diesel Electric Locomotives.

1. History of electrical traction. Classification of electric drives

2. Traction resistance. Adhesion

3. Traction motors used in electric traction. Tramcars

4. Tramcars with resistance and chopper control. Converters for tramcars

5. Tram-cars T3, KT8, TV6 and tramcars with induction motors

6. Trolley-buses, their usage and control

7. Underground lines. Prague Metro

8. DC locomotives. Resistance and chopper control. Converters

9. Locomotives Škoda E 499, 65 E, and 71 E. with pulse control

10. Locomotives supplied by the frequency 50 and 16+ 2/3 Hz

11. Locomotives with tap transformers, rectifiers and double system locomotives

12. Locomotives Škoda 73 E, Sub-urban units 471 with induction motors

13. Rangier locomotive Škoda E90 resp. Siemens S 252 with induction motors

14. Diesel electric locomotives
