Synopsis:

Basic terms, motion equation. Elektromechanical transient effects, losses in electric drives, power determination of variable load. Controlled rectifier, principles and charakteristics. Drives with DC motors, speed control, applications. Drives with induction motors, starting and braking, speed control. Electric shaft, cascade connections, vector and direct control. Drives with synchronous motors, ventil drive.

1. Rectifiers, DC voltage converters

2. Inverters, frequency converters, AC voltage converters

3. Realization of power converters

4. Electromechanical transient effects, moving equation

5. Project of electric drives, coose of the producer´s offer

6. Load types, drive fitting

7. Non-reversible and reversible drives, control block scheme

8. Mathematical model of the machine for the solving of transient phenomena

9. Math. model of power converter for the solving of transient phenomena

10. Start, breaking and speed control of squirrel cage induction motors

11. Speed control of wound rotor inductiom motors, subsynchronous cascade

12. Start, breaking and speed control of synchronous motor, ventil drive

13. Servo-drives, drives for robotics, computers and other special drives

14. Power converters in other applications out of drives

1. Introduction to the lab of drives, safety and laboratory rules

2. Measurement on the controlled rectifier and on the pulse converter

3. Measurement on the AC voltage converter

4. EPLAN, documentation in drives

5. Measurement of the drive starting time

6. Work with catalogs and with the Internet

7. Drive dimensioning - determination of motor power for cyclic load

8. Separately excited DC motor fed by thyristor rectifier

9. Simulation of DC drive transient phenomena

10. Simulation of AC drive transient phenomena

11. Speed control of induction motor by the frequency converter

12. Subsynchronous caccade, measurement of drive quantities

13. Measurement on the ventil drive

14. Measurement on special drives
