Synopsis:

Principal arrangement of the manufacturing system - technological, storage, manipulation, inspection and control subsystems. Technical tools of automatization - NC machines, industrial robots, automated transport and storage systems. Pre-manufacturing subsystems and their computer support - CAD, CAP, CAPP, CAM etc. Principles of CIM systems, industrial computer networks.

Requirements:

A student has to obtain a credit before an examination

Syllabus of lectures:

1. Manufacturing system characteristics, basic structures, subsystems

2. Manufacturing process - structure, examples of electrical production

3. Technological subsystem of manufacturing system - structure, automation

4. NC machines and their programming, CNC and DNC systems

5. Transport and manipulation subsystem, tools, automation

6. Storage subsystem, automation of storage control

7. Measuring and testing, control and information subsystems

8. Complex automated production cells, sections, lines and systems

9. Preparation and control of production, partial subsystems, computer support

10. Design of products, inputs and outputs, CAD

11. Technology preparation, inputs and outputs, CAP

12. Manufacturing systems monitoring, data flows and their structure

13. Principles and function of computer integrated manufacturing systems

14. Data flows in CIM systems, tools, control

1. Production engineering - situation in manufacturing process

2. Examples of production technology of electrical products

3. Manufacturing processes with different production batch - examples

4. Visit to the electrical manufacturing process

5. Linear and circular trajectory interpolation of NC machines

6. Programming of NC machines

7. Examples of storage manipulations, computer support

8. Examples of technological sensors, application

9. Reliability of production line - MTTF, MTTR

10. Solution of production line output

11. Demonstration of programms for manufacturing preparation

12. Application of programms for manufacturing preparation

13. Visit to the electrical manufacturing system
