Synopsis:

Aeroelasticity as a part of the aircraft structure design. History and development of the branch. Classification and physical description of aero-elastic phenomena. Matrix forms of aerodynamic and stiffness operators. General equations of the steady-state aero-elasticity. Mathematic formulation of the aero-elastic static stability task. Fundamentals of the structure design acting against an origin of the torsion divergence. Efficiency and reversal of an elastic control. Dynamics of an elastic body. Complex forms of aerodynamic airfoil characteristicsGeneral equations of the unsteady-state aero-elasticity. Mathematic formulation of the aero-elastic dynamic stability task. Equations of the potential flutter. Linear and non-linear forms of flutters. Fundamentals of the structure design acting against a flutter origin. Buffeting of tail surfaces.
