Hygiene:
Overview of the general and municipal hygiene environment. In particular, the health requirements of the working environment for selected physical and chemical components. General and municipal hygiene: Development of hygiene. Basic provisions on health ingredients and their organizations. Hygiene of air, soil, water and sanitation services sídelných. Hygiene requirements for working environment: Work hygiene. Physical factors in the work environment, temperature and humidity. Terms of workplaces (ventilation and air conditioning, air exchange, heating). Lighting, visual comfort. Heat, Thermal comfort. Measures against noise: Anti-vibration. Effects of noise on the human organism. Chemical pollutants and aerosols in the work prostředí. Safety working environment. Hygiene and waste disposal: waste water, solid waste, water hygiene. Protecting human health and safety and health at work. Risk workplace. Treatment with hazardous substances and chemical products. Authorities of public health, public health surveillance. Legislation, the role of government, sanctions, administrative procedures and measures in emergencies.
Epidemiology:
The emergence and spread of infectious diseases, ie diseases of bacterial, viral and parasite origin. Pathogenesis of diseases caused by them, an overview of the originators of those diseases. Overview of the causes of the emergence and spread of non-infectious diseases, especially diseases of civilization. Collective immunity, susceptibility and resistance. Active immunization (prin- ciple, the use of the current practice). Passive immunization, vaccines. The safety of vaccines, reactions after vaccination, contraindications to vaccination. Strategy of vaccination programs. Epidemiological measures aimed at eliminating the source. Epidemiological measures to interrupt transmission. Introduction to assessment of health risks. Methods and procedures for the epidemiological investigation.
After completing the course students should master the theoretical foundations of selected health disciplines and to obtain guidance in the protection of public health, know the basics of the field and working methods used in the epidemiology of infectious and non-infectious diseases in environmental epidemiology and prevention options.
- Requirements:
-
Mastering the theoretical foundations of selected fields of hygiene and epidemiology in the range specified by the content of lectures topics. Graded credit: a test with the chosen answers. The test contains a total of 30 test questions: Score: 30 to 29 correct answers = 1 (A) 28 to 27 correct answers = 1.5 (B) 26 to 25 correct answers = 2 (C) 23 to 24 correct answers = 2.5 (D) 21 to 22 correct answers = 3 (E) 20 or less correct answers = 4 (F).
