Anotace:

Note: This subject is not recommended for those who already studied „Sensors and Transducers“.

Principles of common sensors. Methods for analog signal processing and A/D

conversion of the sensor signal. Intelligent sensors. Systems for

acquisition, transfer and processing of the measured data (from centralized

industrial and laboratory systems to distributed monitoring systems).

Software for measurement. Examples of typical applications. User-oriented.

(Not for study branch „Technical Cybernetics and Measurement“.)

Požadavky:

Basics from electronics and physics.

Osnova přednášek:

1. Applications, types and parameters of sensors. Intelligent sensors.

Datalogger and measurement system.

2. Physical principles of sensors. Signal processing schemes.

3. Analog circuits for sensor signal processing. Error correction,

calibration, diagnostics.

4. Interfacing to microprocessor. AD converters. Measurement modules. Centralized and distributed systems.

5. Sensor buses (HART, ASI). Software for measurement. SCADA.

6. Sensors of geometrical parameters (contact/contactless, magnetic, inductive).

7. Sensors of position (capacitance, ultrasound, optical)

8. Sensors and transducers for measurement of vibrations, speed and

acceleration. Sensors for navigation.

9. Sensors for measurement of stress, force and torque.

10. Sensors of pressure.

11. Sensors of flow and level.

12. Contact temperature sensors: from thermocouple to web thermometer.

13. Pyrometry - contactless temperature measurement.

14. Chemical sensors and biosensors. Environment monitoring.

9. Semiconductor temperature sensors

10. Measuring amplifier versus measuring system (resistance thermometers)

11. HART and analog processor (processing of the signal form thermocouple)

13. Sensors for gas analysis and for humidity measurement
