Synopsis:

In the digitized world of the 21st century, it should be a matter of course that the student is able to search, sort and critically evaluate information. He or she needs to be able to take advantage of the opportunities of the digital environment, which in the current environment can be included in the cross-cutting professional competencies needed for the performance of work, which are not exclusively related to a particular profession.

• Management and sharing files within the cloud storage (MS OneDrive)

• Effective communication via e-mail, incl. mailbox management, defining rules, working with the calendar, contact

management (MS Outlook)

• Effective communication through MS Teams (Team administration, channels, online meetings, MS Teams Apps)

• Definition of tasks, delegation (assignment to team members), monitoring of task progress (MS Planner, To Do)

• Processing and editign text, incl. work with bibliographic citations, subtitles, indexes, lists, work with styles,

templates (MS Word, Zotero)

• Manipulation with data, incl. advanced financial analysis, creation of reports to support managerial decision-making

(MS Excel)

• Presentation of information in an efficient way, using diagrams, graphs, audio / video sequences, animations, slide

transitions (MS PowerPoint)

• Keeping structured notes (MS OneNote)

• Effective communicationwithin teams, incl. data sharing, group definition and permissions within the organization

(MS SharePoint)

• Definition of the structure of a relational database, create a simple database, sort and filter data, create input / output

forms, enter queries (MS Access)

• Creation of a structured list, creation of views, definition of permissions (MS Lists)

Study Objective:

The study objective of the course of Informatics is to equip students with a sufficient set of transferable digital competencies, with emphasis on the main principles of digital technologies, the use of effective applications of digital technologies to obtain relevant information needed in all areas of training future economists.
