Synopsis:

Each DigiQ network holds monthly meetup seminars in hybrid form, and each semester organizes in-person events providing learning opportunities and community building. In person events combine tutorials with projects completed by teams of students.

Only students who have been registered in the DQ-track system and have been accepted into one of the DigiQ networks (AQISS, AQT, EFEQT or NQC) can register for this course. Assessment will be granted to students once the corresponding network coordinator confirms completion in DQ-track.

Requirements:
Syllabus of lectures:

DigiQ consist of the following networks (see http://digiq.eu for up-to-date information):

A QISS: Applied Quantum Information Science Student Network

The goal of this network is to provide unique learning and project opportunities in areas of quantum communication, quantum algorithms and hardware development. In-person events include winter/summer school with research and industry experts and quantum computing hackathon.

AQT: Advocates for Quantum Technology

As an advocate for Quantum Technology, students will be involved in major international QT events spreading the word of QT. Events in this network will orient around major international activities: Italian Quantum Weeks, and World Quantum Day. Science Melting Pot will organise several events in Aarhus, such as “Pitcher of Quantum”, a several day Quantum Festival, and “Pint of Science”, a global science festival taking place in local bars and cafes.

EFEQT: Empowering the Future Experts in Quantum Science and Technology for Europe

One year complementary training programme with training modules and networking opportunities providing international experience leading towards a PhD and be part of a pan-European community, preparing students for leadership roles in the emerging quantum workforce.

NQC: Network for Quantum Computing

Targeting students interested in quantum computing and quantum information theory. Topics covered include, Theoretical & Experimental Quantum Computing (Quantum algorithms, Software applications, Hardware architectures, Methods in Quantum Information Theory), Industrial applications & local Start-Ups, Entrepreneurship.

Syllabus of tutorials:

In-person events provide opportunities for hand-on experience with technology or project assignments – depending on the DigiQ network.
