- Synopsis:
-
Seminars based on invited lectures given by experts in the field of research and development of thermonuclear fusion. Students are encouraged to participate in seminars of neighbouring fields according to the subject of their diploma thesis.
- Requirements:
-
To be granted credit, a student must attend 10 lectures and submit a list of them. During the final session, the student will briefly summarize, using a presentation, the lecture they consider the most valuable.
- Syllabus of lectures:
-
The seminar is based on invited lectures given by experts in the field of research and development of thermonuclear
fusion, both physicists and engineers. The subject of the lecture can be focused on current status in the research field (e.g. News in the world fusion research, European collaboration in the fusion education, Participation of Czech industries in the ITER project, ELI), on the personal expertise of the invited lecturer (e.g. spheromac experiments, Diagnostics of magnetic reconnection, laser plasma) or on plasma physics from related fields (e.g. Solar plasma, Geophysical plasma, Lightnings, Plasma technologies, Medical plasma). At the same time, students are encouraged to participate in seminars of neighbouring fields according to the subject of their diploma thesis.
Course Schedule:
