Synopsis:

The importance of vibration of mechanical systems for all machines and machine structures. Ability to create a model of a machine or structure in the form of a continuum or discrete system, as a linear or nonlinear system. Ability to examine free and forced oscillation of linear and nonlinear systems and their damping. Computational and experimental modal analysis of machine structures and identification of linear systems.
