Synopsis:

The subject is focused on analytical and numerical methods for analyses of plated structures and members, which are

fundamentals for behaviour of steel and steel-concrete composite structures. Students will familiarise themselves with

models used for stability and ductility failure mechanism. Students will be prepared for analysis of plated structures and

members, including also connections. There will be discussed influence of various factors such as different material

models, isotropic and orthotropic materials, geometrical and structural imperfections, accuracy of material properties

calibration, validation and verification of structural models.
