Synopsis:

Project management, definition of terms project, program portfolio, project life cycle, project goal and benefits, triple imperative, project success assessment. Project idea, opportunity study, feasibility study (purpose, content, processing), SMART objective, stakeholders. Project identification list, logical framework. Design of project structures, stakeholders. Planning of time, resources, costs, budget, changes, procurement and contractual relations, personnel management. Risk analysis and risk management, methods for risk analysis.

Reporting on the project status, evaluation of the current project status. information and documentation, communication. Leadership and motivation of people, negotiation and discussion procedures. Project completion, final report.

Requirements:

Presence min. 85 % within seminars, defence of the semestral work, successful final test. The overall evaluation is composed as 40 % semestral work and 60 % test.

1. Introduction to project management, possibilities of certification, definition of terms project, program portfolio, project life cycle, project goal and benefits, triple imperative, project success assessment

2. How does project created, definition and explanation of the terms Project idea, Opportunity study, Feasibility study (purpose, content, processing), SMART objective, stakeholders. Feasibility study

3. How does project start, procedures, definitions. Project identification list, logical framework. Design of project structures, stakeholders

4. Planning of time, resources, costs, budget, changes, procurement and contractual relations, personnel management

5. Risk analysis and risk management, methods for risk analysis

6. Reporting on the project status, evaluation of the current project status. information and documentation, communication. Leadership and motivation of people, negotiation and discussion procedures

7. Project completion, final report, individual work

4. Study Work Breakdown (SWB)

5. Structure budget planning

6. RIPRAN (RIsk PRoject ANalysis) - empirical method for project risk analysis

7. Final presentation

Study Objective:

The aim of the course is to teach students how to work in a team among people. Set a meaningful goal and a way to reach it. Understand the basic principles of project management. Expose students to work in an environment with uncertainty and chance.
