- Synopsis:
-
The course builds on knowledge acquired in Strength of Materials I and II and explains methods for predicting fatigue strength and service life under dynamic and time-variable loading of machine components. It describes the mechanisms of crack initiation and propagation under operational conditions, as well as methods for evaluating service reliability.
