Synopsis:
Requirements:

To prepare, submit and present a design study – project on medical device such as appliance, instrument, assistive devices or element in the design of an interior of a healthcare facility. It can also be an ergonomics study of healthcare software.

Teaching of the subject will be divided by weeks on the following topics (each topic represents 4 hours, ie. seminar and computer exercises):

1.Introduction. Motivation. Context. Course requirements. Presentation of earlier works. Introduction to technical documentation. Drawing formats. Lines and font. Scale. Display including projection.

2.SolidWorks – user interface, sketch.

3.SolidWorks – parts.

4.SolidWorks – assembly.

5.Ergonomics – general principles and checklists. Software ergonomics – basic rules, examples, evaluation.

6.Siemens PLM Tecnomatix JACK – ergonomics SW – basics. Creating a simple study.

7.Siemens PLM Tecnomatix JACK – ergonomics SW – example of use, animations and evaluation of a simple study.

8.Design and ergonomics of medical device – basic rules and procedures, examples. Design of own salutation. Possibility of using Dosch Design image database.

9.Basic principles and examples of using 3D scanner ARTEC EVO, examples of using 3D printer.

10.Presentation of students’ projects. Award of a graded assessment.
