Synopsis:

The subject aims to learn the requirements for the effective use of BIM models of buildings in the life cycle of the building. The content of the subject is focused on the phases using completed digital models of the building, i.e. on the needs and requirements of the preparation, production and operation of the building.preparation, production and operation of the building.

Part of the subject is information about applications used in the digital environment to fulfill the requirements of users of the building model.

Requirements:

Submission of work by the prescribed deadline and to the prescribed extent (see Teams).

Compulsory attendance in class, maximum 2 unexcused absences.

Ongoing consultation of work and checking during the course.

The above requirements are necessary but not sufficient conditions for successful completion of the course.

Passing the examination in the form of a written test.

Syllabus of lectures:

1. Digitization of construction processes in the construction life cycle, basic documents, contracts

Study Objective:

The aim of studying the subject is to impart knowledge about the possibilities of using digital models of buildings in the preparation, implementation and operation of the building, with the requirements for a digital model allowing the use of applications focused on the desired outputs. The subject is focused on the requirements for the use of models in the individual phases of the construction project development, the setting of the project environment for working with the model, with the needs of individual processes for digital models in the specified phases of the construction life cycle and their processing by applications used in the digital environment. The subject is also focused on specific production processes related to the possibilities of digital modeling, production preparation and digitally controlled production. The graduate of the subject will be oriented in the extensive issue of digital model applications and their effective use for construction production and operation.
