Synopsis:

Testing and quality management. Building materials requirements. Pronciples of laboratory works - sampling, marking, documentation. Safety in laboratories. Testing and evaluation of results. Statistical methods of evaluation.

3. Standardization. Technical standards.

4. Acreditation and certification.

5 .Laboratory rules. Sampling.

6. Quality management system

7. Destructive testing.

8. Non-destructive testing.

9. Design of experiments (DOE).

10. Statistical evaluation of results, determination of uncertainities.

11. Characteristic properties. Definitions, pronciples.

12. Regression analysis.

13. Safety in laboratories.

1. Introduction, laboratory rules, safety on laboratories.

2. Laboratory 1: Testing of coats.

3. Laboratory 2: Testing of fresh mortar.

4. Laboratory 3: Testing of hardened mortar.

5. Laboratory 4: Testing of asphlats and polymers.

6. Calculations -regression analysis.

7. Calculations - uncertainities.

8+9: Field trip I.

10+11. Field trip II.

12. Protocols.

Study Objective:

Understanding the problematics of testing, quality control and standardization, principles of laboratory testing and suitable evaluation of results.
