Synopsis:

The course is aimed at doctoral students, students in English programmes and ERASMUS students who have already passed the beginner course under AE0B04C0 code or already have the basic knowledge of Czech who want to further develop their knowledge of the Czech language. The aim of the course is to strengthen and develop elementary vocabulary and the idea of Czech language structure with regard to the needs of students during their stay in the Czech Republic.

The course is taught in English.

WEEK 01: Introduction, practice, revision, verb tenses; Conversation (C): Human body

WEEK 02: C: Studies at FEE; Grammar (G): Plurals of nouns

WEEK 03: C: Travelling; G: The Genitive case; Prepositions of place

WEEK 04: C: At the office; G: Partitive genitive; Possessives

WEEK 05: C: At the doctor's; G: Perfective and imperfective verbs

WEEK 06: C: Show me the way! ; G: The Locative case, prepositions with locative

WEEK 07: C: The C. V.; G: The Conditional

WEEK 08: C. What would happen if....; G. The Conditional

WEEK 09: C: Electrical Engineering; G: Adjectives and adverbs; the comparatives and superlatives of adjectives
